To avoid having to immediately purchase a whole new kitchen, renovating the kitchen is a good idea and a fun project to do yourself. In this project Niels shows how he replaced the fronts in his otherwise good kitchen. He used sawn MDF moisture-resistant and painted it. With this he replaced his fronts in a budget-friendly way and gave his kitchen a second life.

Description by Niels

As can be seen in the photo of an old door, the wood was of the old doors have become completely thick due to the influence of moisture. These doors had once been painted, but they no longer looked good and could no longer be repaired. This webshop provided the solution and the new doors were ordered in a simple way. Just paint it and it will look like new again! The result is above expectations at a low price

How I made this project

First of all, I took the dimensions of all the doors and drawer fronts. Then entered it on the website and indicated which edges should have a small radius. The doors soon came in and the holes for the hinges and handles still had to be made. My handy father-in-law drilled this under the drill press. Simply took the dimensions from the old cabinets. That went quite smoothly and in the end the whole thing was painted with Sikkens paint specially suitable for these types of applications.
