Description

We wanted a new table.

After a long search and consideration, we chose to make a dining room table from light oak ourselves.

That is how we ended up at OPMAATZAGEN.nl.

Work description: how did you realize your project

I decided to order a custom oak panel from OPMAATZAGEN.nl. I could have done this myself and also milled the bevelled edges, but I opted for the convenience of having it done so that this would save me some work/time.

I do have a reinforcement milled into the blade by means of 2 x steel corner line of 2.0 mm thick and 2.0 x 2.0 cm. I glued this by using 2-component epoxy and screwed it in place.

I then checked the entire table and filled spots with light oak woodfill, including the grain in the end edges.

The table was then sanded and treated with woodprep. Then the table was treated with oil.

Final size: What are the outside dimensions?

210.0 x 100.0 cm
